Lib Dem MP cheats death.

Lib Dem MP Mike Hancock was just two weeks away from almost certain death in an extra-ordinary revelation theBlueGuerilla can today confirm.

The beareded MP for Portsmouth South had been suffering from bouts of what he thought was a trapped nerve but it wasn't until he went to see his doctor that the seriousness of the situation became clear.

Hancock was referred by his GP to a cardiac specialist who did some tests before having an operation where a balloon was put inside an artery to hold it open.

After a further week of intense pain Hancock was admitted to the QA Hospital in Portsmouth where an operation found his condition to be much worse than first thought, meaning that the controversial MP would need open-heart surgery.

After discharging himself to attend a local meeting against the advice of doctors, Hancock was re-admitted and kept under observation until being transferred to Southampton General Hospital where a further bypass procedure was performed two weeks ago.

Mr. Hancock is said to be recovering at his home in and hopes to be returning to Westminster after the summer recess.

However, given the seriousness of the situation its highly unlikely that he will stand for Parliament at the next election.
